Strong Events Welcomes a New Owner after 30+ Years of Success in Texas
We are excited to announce that Cindy Y. Lo, President of Outplan Enterprises LLC, has purchased Strong Events from Dennis W. Randolph after 30+ years of successfully building a one-stop shop for custom event fabrication and decor for the Texas Hill Country market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1991, Strong Events has been the longest-running special events fabricator in Austin, Texas. Steadily growing year-over-year along with a loyal base of employees, Strong Events prides itself on collaboration, creativity and professionalism. With a 24,000 square foot warehouse in East Austin, it has the largest inventory of specialty event rentals and props, including equipment to produce custom event installations that range from sponsorship activations to pop-ups to custom stage backdrops.

Cindy Y. Lo will be named CEO of Strong Events while Nikki Lougee will continue as General Manager. Dennis W. Randolph will officially retire from Strong Events on August 31, 2023. All current Strong Events employees have been retained during this transaction.

Cindy Y. Lo brings 20+ years of experience in the hospitality and experiential marketing and events industry. She founded RED VELVET, a full-service experience agency, in 2002. RED VELVET will continue to be led by Vice Presidents Hayden Lockaby and Sarah Lo, and Cindy will continue to support as CEO. Strong Events and RED VELVET will both continue to operate as independent businesses, run by their respective employees and under their respective names. There is no intention to merge the two companies at this time nor in the near future.
Financing for the transaction was provided by Bank of America primarily through an SBA loan.
